Shadow Transport Secretary Visits Beam Park Station Site

Jon Cruddas MP and Margaret Mullane, Labour’s Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Dagenham and Rainham, welcomed Louise Haigh MP Shadow Transport Secretary to the site of the promised Beam Park station today.

This is a stepping up of Labour’s local campaign for the government to remove its block on the Beam Park station project.

NATIONAL LOTTERY COMMUNITY FUND AWARDS HUGE SUM TO RAINHAM FOODBANK

Over the course of the end of 2022, the National Lottery donated funds to community projects up and down the country, including in Dagenham and Rainham. The National Lottery Community Fund provided almost 2,500 grants last year and one of their biggest funding grants was made available to the Rainham Foodbank.

Fixing the Cladding Issue at Orchard Village

Jon Cruddas MP received confirmation from Clarion, the housing association that owns and manages Orchard Village in south Hornchurch, of their plans to deal with fire safety issues on the estate.

Clarion are engaging a specialist contractor to remove cladding and other potentially flammable materials from the external areas of the apartment block buildings on Orchard Village. The work is planned to commence in July and may take up to two years to fully complete.

MP Raises Beam Park Station in Westminster

Yesterday (11.01.22) in Westminster Hall Jon Cruddas MP for Dagenham and Rainham brought forward a debate to discuss the government refusal to deliver Beam Park station in the south of his constituency. The Labour MP has been running a campaign to force the Department of Transport to change its position since the news broke in August 2021.

MP Secures Beam Park Station Parliamentary Debate

The campaign calling for the government to reverse its decision and deliver Beam Park station is being brought to Parliament by Jon Cruddas MP for Dagenham and Rainham.

Jon has been making the case for the much needed station to be allowed to go ahead and has now secured a debate at Westminster Hall on Tuesday 11 January.
