Christmas is a special time of year for all of us to reflect on the past 12 months. It is also a time to look forward to the coming year and plan for happier, healthier times.

Earlier this year Jon Cruddas MP surveyed Berwick Road and Thorn Lane following complaints from residents regarding the damage being caused to the carriageway by double decker busses. Whilst Transport for London have been unwilling to make changes to the bus route, Jon Cruddas has successfully lobbied Havering Council, who have agreed to resurface the roads in Spring 2022.
Over the last few months many Rainham residents have raised the issue of strong diesel fumes in the air with Jon Cruddas MP. The MPs office put an enquiry in to Havering Council and their Environmental Health Department.

The number of unemployed claimants in Dagenham and Rainham constituency in November 2021 was 5,005.
Earlier this month Jon Cruddas MP for Dagenham and Rainham was presented with the YMCA award where he is hereby recognised as a Parliamentary Patron of YMCA England and Wales.
This week, Jon Cruddas MP’s office were contacted by Save the Children in regards to their upcoming Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 10th December. Save the Children exists to help every child reach their full potential.
This week Jon Cruddas MP was contacted by the RCCG Church to inform him of their upcoming “Christmas Jumper Day” for anyone aged 55 and above.
This month, Jon Cruddas MP’s team had the pleasure of meeting with Dagenham Foodbank. Dagenham Foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust which is a charity that works to end the need for food banks in the UK. The Trussell Trust supports a network of over 1200 foodbank centres to provide emergency food and compassionate, practical support to people in crisis, while campaigning for the long-term change to the structural issues that lock people into poverty.
