Jon Cruddas MP for Dagenham and Rainham has stated his strong opposition to the recent pre planning application to excavate a sand and gravel quarry at Rainham Lodge Farm, Berwick Road.

Dagenham and Rainham Labour MP, Jon Cruddas, successfully called for a debate in Parliament on the funding crisis engulfing Havering Council. The debate took place on Tuesday 28 November.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer’s Autumn Statement on the economy drew a sharp response from Dagenham and Rainham’s Labour MP, Jon Cruddas.

Jon Cruddas, MP for Dagenham and Rainham, has been contacted by the organisation constructing The Great Eastern Parks Route and asked to lend his support to the project which has the backing of Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Newham councils.

Shalini won the London Royal College of Nursing’s Rising Stars award to recognise excellence in patient care, innovation, and leadership from London’s Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic nursing community. 

The Habbit Factory is an inclusive arts organisation that was established in 2004, who work with children and young people in the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham and Havering. They are different to other performing arts companies in that they support inclusive arts introducing inclusive approaches to acting, singing, and dancing that co-creates new stories to be shared with audiences.

Sunday 10 September marks the 20^th anniversary of World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD). Four years ago on World Suicide Prevention Day 2019, a citywide #ZeroSuicideLDN campaign was launched by the Mayor of London and partners to encourage Londoners to access the Zero Suicide Alliance’s free, online suicide prevention training.

In July 2023 Jon Cruddas MP for Dagenham & Rainham welcomed the opening of the new Rainham Leisure Centre, designed specifically to help everyone in the local community to lead a more active life to improve public health. The centre has a large variety of facilities able to accommodate everyone.

Jon Cruddas MP for Dagenham and Rainham has been contacted by National Trust who are seeking support with their Save Our Wild Isles campaign. Over the years people all across the Dagenham and Rainham area have contacted the MPs office asking for support with various environmental and climate change focussed causes. Jon Cruddas said: “it is clear local people have a passion for the environment, and protecting nature.
