Sunday 10 September marks the 20th anniversary of World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD). Four years ago on World Suicide Prevention Day 2019, a citywide #ZeroSuicideLDN campaign was launched by the Mayor of London and partners to encourage Londoners to access the Zero Suicide Alliance’s free, online suicide prevention training.

Over the years people all across the Dagenham and Rainham area have contacted the MPs office asking for support with various environmental and climate change focussed causes. Last year the Rush Green community launched a campaign to save their Post Office from a proposed closure. A petition was raised, and local Labour MP Jon Cruddas contacted Post Office HQ to make representations on behalf of residents. Ward Councillors Princess Bright and Tony Ramsay also went door to door speaking to the community about the plans.
Yesterday (11.01.22) in Westminster Hall Jon Cruddas MP for Dagenham and Rainham brought forward a debate to discuss the government refusal to deliver Beam Park station in the south of his constituency. The Labour MP has been running a campaign to force the Department of Transport to change its position since the news broke in August 2021.
