c2c Restore Peak Time Service

This week Jon Cruddas MP for Dagenham and Rainham brought forward his regular meetings with senior officials at c2c to press them on improving services through Rainham and Dagenham Dock. There had been concerns regarding the winter timetable changes and Jon raised these during the meeting. c2c officials confirmed that from this week peak hours service frequencies have been returned to four trains an hour and that they are putting on more twelve carriage trains.

Jon made clear that the recent halving of services had caused major inconvenience to local people and is relieved to be assured that train services at peak times are being restored. Taking this on board c2c have committed to providing a monthly update on passenger numbers and services through Rainham and Dagenham Dock.

The Labour MP for Dagenham and Rainham said: “Over the years my team and I have built up a good working relationship with c2c, and it is very positive to see that they take our concerns on board and make changes when we call them out on behalf of residents. More twelve carriage trains should ease congestion at peak times, but I will continue to monitor the situation and hold the m to account when they are not delivering the service local people deserve.”
