Asthma UK and British Lung Foundation - Covid-19 Advice

In light of the current global health crisis Asthma UK and the British Lung Foundation Partnership have been working hard to respond and provide support to people with lung conditions ? as this is a group vulnerable to Covid-19.

The partnership outlined that: "our current priority is to provide the most accurate and up to date advice and support for people with lung conditions across the UK. We are re-directing some of our resources to support this, and our team is working tirelessly with government and the NHS to understand and interpret new guidance."

Jon Cruddas MP said: "this is a worrying time for everyone, not least people with pre-existing respiratory conditions. Charitable organisations are really stepping up to provide care and support during this crisis and Asthma UK and the British Lung Foundation are no exception. If anyone in Dagenham and Rainham has a lung condition from asthma to COPD I'd encourage them to look at the guidance provided by the partnership. However, I also recommend that constituents regularly seek the latest advice from the NHS and Public Health England."

If you have a pre-existing respiratory condition and have concerns about staying safe during the current situation, please see below for information and details of helplines.
