My Expenses - Running a Transparent Office

Serving as Member of Parliament for Dagenham is a great privilege and carrying out this role effectively requires an office and staff to ensure that I can keep on helping the thousands of people who contact me each year for help and advice.

Each month I will publish what expenses I have claimed to ensure transparency and confidence. As you can see the main costs are for the number of staff who help me provide the advice and research needed to be on your side, serving the seventy thousand people who live in the constituency. The other costs of Administration cover office rent, utilities, postage, IT and general office consumables.

In November 2009 my expenses were as following
