Ardleigh Green Bridge over-night works 25-29 May 2018

Late May bank holiday will see the demolition and replacement of the western side of Ardleigh Green Bridge in Hornchurch. Demolition works will take place from 21:00 on Friday 25th of May 2018 until 05:00 on Tuesday 29th of May. Delivery of the new bridge will take place overnight on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd of June between 21:00 and 08:00 the following morning.

During this time there will be some temporary road closures:

- From 21:00 on Friday 25th of May until 05:00 on 29th of May there will be a full road closure of the A127 Southend Arterial Road between Gallows Corner and Squirrels Heath/Ardleigh Green Road. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

- Friday 1st of June to Sunday 3rd of June from 21:00 each night until 08:00 the following morning there will be a full road closure of the A127 Southend Arterial Road between Gallows Corner and Squirrels Health/Ardleigh Green Road. Pedestrian Access will be maintained.

Buses will be running a normal service, although the road may be busy and diversions will be in place, so please allow extra time for your journey. Footways and pedestrian crossings will stay open and the diversion will be clearly signposted.

There will be some remaining bridge demolition work, which will take place towards the end of June 2018. Once further details are provided of this work, it will be posted up on Jon Cruddas MP's website.
